Carrot-Shaped Brownies (Cute Easter Treats)

Looking for a fun and easy Easter treat? These carrot-shaped brownies are just what you need! They start with a simple box of brownie mix, get shaped into cute little carrots, and are dipped in chocolate for a festive finish.

They’re the perfect Easter dessert for kids and a great way to make your holiday table extra special. Plus, they’re easy enough for little helpers to get involved, making them one of the best desserts for kids to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 fudge brownie box mix + the ingredients listed on the box (usually water, oil, and eggs)
  • 8 ounces white chocolate, melted – This makes a smooth coating for the brownies.
  • Orange Food Dye – To color the white chocolate and give it a carrot look.
  • Green Food Dye – Used for the carrot “leaves.”

How to Make Carrot Brownies

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper so they don’t stick. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions, then pour the batter into the dish and spread it evenly. Bake for about 25 minutes—slightly underbaking them keeps them soft and easier to shape. Let them cool completely.

Once the brownies are cool, use a fork to break them up into a soft, dough-like texture. Grab small portions and roll them into carrot shapes, placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Pop them in the freezer for 20 minutes to help them hold their shape.

Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Divide into two bowls—mix most of it with orange food dye and the rest with green food dye.

Dip each brownie carrot into the orange chocolate, covering it completely, then place them back on the parchment paper to set. Once they’re slightly firm, use a piping bag (or a ziplock bag with the tip cut off) to add green chocolate “leaves” at the top. If you want, drizzle extra orange chocolate over the carrots to give them a textured look. Let them fully set before serving.

How to Store Carrot-shaped Brownies

Keep your brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate them for up to a week or freeze them for up to a month.

How do I keep my brownies from crumbling when shaping them?

If your brownies are too crumbly, try underbaking them slightly so they stay soft and fudgy. You can also add a teaspoon of frosting or melted chocolate to help bind the crumbs together.

What’s the best way to transport these brownies?

Once the chocolate coating has fully set, place the brownies in a single layer in an airtight container. If stacking, place parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking.

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes! Shape and freeze the brownie carrots in advance, then dip and decorate them when you’re ready to serve.

Can I use homemade brownies instead of a mix?

Of course! Just make sure they’re fudgy, not cakey, so they’re easier to shape.
